Why we're building minty

The UAE has a closet full of good clothes and nowhere considered to pass them on. Here's what we're doing about it.

Ask around and almost everyone has the same story: a jacket worn twice, a pair of trainers that didn't quite fit, a vintage find that deserved more than the back of a wardrobe. The pieces are good. The problem is what happens next.

Today, selling in the UAE usually means a crowded classifieds app, a group chat, or a price so low it isn't worth the effort. Buying is no better. You scroll past blurry photos and vague descriptions, never quite sure what you'll get.

What we heard

When we started asking people what they wanted, three groups kept coming up: people who want to clear their closet and get paid fairly, people hunting for vintage and pre-loved pieces they can trust, and independent creators who want a home for their own work. No single place served all three.

What minty is

minty is a calmer way to buy and sell pre-loved fashion. Listings are clear and well presented. Condition is labelled honestly. Sellers earn trust through real reviews and Trusted Seller badges, so buyers know what they're getting before they tap buy.

We think resale should feel as good as buying new, without the waste. When a good piece finds its next person, everyone wins: the seller, the buyer, and the clothes themselves.
